Esaunggul.ac.id, The Faculty of Communication Sciences of Universitas Esa Unggul has officially established a strategic cooperation with the Central Indonesian Broadcasting Commission. This was marked by the signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) and Implementation Agreement (IA) at the Central KPI office, Jalan Ir. H. Juanda, Central Jakarta, Friday (22/11/2024).
The signing of this cooperation was carried out by the Chairperson of the Central KPI, Ubaidillah, M.Pd., witnessed by the Secretary of the Central KPI, Umri, S.Sos., M.Si. Meanwhile, the Faculty of Communication Sciences of Universitas Esa Unggul (FIKOM UEU) was led by Dean Dr. Erna Febriani, S.Si., M.Si., accompanied by Vice Dean Dr. Ballian Siregar, M.Si., Head of Study Centre Dr. Jatayu Hadi, M.I.Kom., and Head of Marketing Communication Specialisation Dr. Fajarina, M.I.Kom.
The KPI Pusat – FIKOM UEU collaboration aims to create integration between the world of education and KPI programmes. The collaboration between FIKOM UEU and KPI Pusat is expected that the quality standards of higher education can have a real impact on the wider community, especially in improving the quality of communication and broadcasting in Indonesia.
As part of the series of events, FIKOM UEU delegates also visited the KPI surveillance studio which operates 24 hours to monitor television programmes. ‘This visit provides a direct illustration of KPI’s supervisory function in maintaining the quality of broadcasts that are suitable for the public,’ said the Dean of FIKOM UEU, Dr Erna Febriani, S.Si., M.Si.
Dr. Erna revealed that the cooperation between FIKOM UEU and KPI Pusat is a strategic first step in strengthening the synergy between higher education institutions and national broadcasting institutions to support the progress of the communication industry in Indonesia.
‘I hope the implementation of cooperation with the Central KPI can be realised more, for example holding international conferences that can absorb ideas and thoughts of scientists about quality broadcasting,’ said Dr. Erna.
