Esaunggul.ac.id, One of the students of the Faculty of Psychology class of 2022 at Universitas Esa Unggul Tangerang campus, Barokah Syahri Hamdani, won second place in the event of Putra Budaya Banten Favorit 2024 in the Grand Final which took place lively at the Tangerang Convention Center on Sunday (25/8).
The event was organized by the Serasi Gantari Foundation with the theme “Awakening the Glorious Glory: The Charm and Greatness of Banten’s Cultural Heritage”. The organization of the event aims to facilitate youth in Banten province in creativity and innovation. The event was also enlivened by stunning performances from the finalists.
The finalists underwent a 3-day quarantine, from August 23 to 25, 2024, where they received various in-depth debriefings. The finalists were not only judged on their appearance, but also on their abilities and insights in becoming the Putra Putri Budaya. With the provision of knowledge and skills, it is hoped that the finalists can serve for the next 1 year well, carrying out the noble task of preserving and promoting Banten culture.
The awarding of the title of Putra & Putri Budaya 2024 on the grand final night on August 25 was the highlight of the most awaited event and a defining moment. The title was finally awarded to: Doni Afanda & Thalita Anisyah Putri as Putra & Putri Budaya Banten 2024.
Universitas Esa Unggul representative in this event, Barokah Syahri Hamdani, won 2nd place in the category of Putra Budaya Banten Favorit. This title for Syahri was not only for himself, but also as a reminder of the importance of preserving and promoting Banten culture. “I hope to inspire other young people to love and contribute more to our culture. Let’s preserve and be proud of our heritage!” he said.

The assessment team for this event are people who are selected based on competence in their fields. The assessment team includes the National Director of Putra Putri Budaya Indonesia, Runner Up 2 Putri Budaya Indonesia 2023, Putri Kesenian Indonesia 2022, and the Banten Province Tourism Office. The entire Putra Putri Budaya Banten 2024 committee also hopes that the knowledge received by the finalists can be their provision in carrying out the mission of preserving Banten culture for the next 1 year.
