IIDSA 5

Esaunggul.ac.id, Devdan Daud Noor Shaffy, a Product Design student at Esa Unggul University, has just won an award in the Futuristic Design Solution category at the Industrial Design Student Award 5 (IIDSA 5).

The event, organized by the Alliance of Indonesian Industrial Product Designers (ADPII), took place from 10 to 12 October at the Jakarta Design Center (JDC), Petamburan area, Central Jakarta.

In this competition, Devdan showed extraordinary innovation and creativity, which was reflected in his work that was futuristic and relevant to the needs of future society.

Under the guidance of Dr. Indra Gunara Rochyat, S.Sn., MA, M.Ds., Devdan received full support in developing interesting design ideas and concepts.

This success is not only a pride for Devdan, but also for Esa Unggul University, which continues to be committed to educating a generation of designers who are ready to compete at the national and international levels.

Dr. Indra Gunara Rochyat, S.Sn., MA, M.Ds. revealed, “I am very proud of Devdan Daud Noor Shaffy’s achievement. This award in the Futuristic Design Solution category is a recognition of his hard work and creativity in creating innovative design solutions. This success shows that our students not only have good technical skills, but are also able to think critically and visionarily. Hopefully this achievement can inspire other students to continue working and innovating in the world of design.”

The award at IIDSA 5 is expected to inspire other students to continue to innovate and contribute to the world of product design.

With this achievement, Devdan not only raised his name, but also the name of Esa Unggul University in the Indonesian industrial design scene. There is great hope that this achievement will be the beginning of a further successful journey in the world of design.

The IIDSA 5 event, which took place from October 10 to 12, included a series of activities, from the opening and awarding of the Indonesia Industrial Design Student Award (IIDSA), presentations, book launches, to seminars and exhibitions of the IIDSA 2024 winning works.

Taufiq Ibrahim, member of ADPII’s Honorary Council and one of its founders, stated that ADPII was established 35 years ago with the aim of introducing the profession in industrial design to stakeholders, industry, and the public. He feels proud that the spirit is still maintained until now.
