One inspiring figure who represents this spirit is Dr. Muhammad Fauzi, S.Des., M.Ds, a permanent lecturer at the Faculty of Design and Creative Industries (FDIK), Esa Unggul University.

As a person with a disability, Dr. Fauzi not only proves that physical limitations are not a barrier to work, but also becomes a symbol of resilience and dedication in the world of education. He actively teaches, conducts research, and is involved in various national and international academic forums.

“I am very grateful to be in a campus environment that provides equal space to all individuals, including people with disabilities. Esa Unggul University not only provides facilities, but also creates an inclusive atmosphere,” said Dr. Fauzi.

Esa Unggul University’s commitment as a disability-friendly campus is also felt directly by students, one of whom is Albert Wijaya, a student of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Public Relation Study Program, who is also a person with disabilities.

“As a student at Esa Unggul campus, I feel that this campus is one of the campuses that is learning to be an inclusive campus. As a person with a disability, I feel that there are many things that this campus strives for to make inclusivity on campus maintained, so that I can follow every learning process very well. I am greatly helped by the lecturers who understand and support me, so that I can pursue my education smoothly,” said Albert.

Esa Unggul University provides various supporting facilities such as wheelchair-friendly building accessibility, disabled toilets, and technology support for students and lecturers with special needs. In addition, the campus also encourages the development of adaptive curriculum and learning methods, ensuring that no one is left behind in the teaching and learning process.

The Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma Among Praja, ST., MBA., IPU, ASEAN Eng., emphasized that inclusivity is an important value that the campus upholds.
