Esaunggul.ac.id, Esa Unggul Debate Team consisting of Ananda Zulkifli: 20220201054 (Faculty of Engineering) Darren Benardy 20230606100 (Faculty of Physiotherapy), Zummiyanuran Habibi 20220401195 (Faculty of Law), won 2nd place in D’Jakarta Fair Debate and Speech 2023 is a series of activities carried out by the Jakarta Provincial Debate and Speech Cakerda, which is directly supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia. The activity took place on December 15-16, 2022 at KEMENPORA RI.
According to Rosalina Nugraheni, S.Pd, M.Pd as the coach of the Esa Unggul debate team, she hopes that this can be a lesson and experience for students, especially the Esa Unggul debate team, in participating in the Debate Competition offline, because previously they only participated online. In addition, it can also improve students’ skills in expressing opinions and arguments on an issue, or in other words, improve their ability to think critically.
As an organization that accommodates the achievements of youth, especially in the scope of Public Speaking. Cakerda Debate and Speech expects all young people who will later become the nation’s leaders can train and try to hone communication power and intellectual power. So that in the togetherness of this activity, it is expected to be a whetstone for young people to train basic things related to leadership.
Seeing that one of several leadership processes is communication, the Cakerda Debate and Speech of the Jakarta Administrative City Province and. Open opportunities and open a forum for students and students to jointly and rhythmically participate in Debate and Speech competitions throughout the Jakarta Administrative City Province. This can be a golden hope in giving birth to Leaders who have Integrity and Intellectuality, so that in its journey Indonesia can continue its dream in the golden era of 2045.
The Debate and Speech Competition which will be held by the Cakerda Debate and Speech of the Jakarta Administrative City Province and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, is a step and a concrete form for youth as the next generation of the nation, especially in maintaining the existence of culture in Indonesia, Youth is expected to be one of the components for the Indonesian nation in order to maintain the existence of culture that has existed for thousands of years.
