Jakarta, 15 Januari 2025 – Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU) proudly received a visit from the delegation of University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), Canada. The activity was held in meeting room 211 Building A of Universitas Esa Unggul and attended by Dr. Muhammad Fachruddin Arrozi, SE, Ak., M.Si as Vice Rector for Academic, Dr. Rian Adi Pamungkas, S.Kep., MNS, PHN as Vice Rector for Research, Development, and Innovation, Ari Pamudi, S.Kom., M.Kom., as Vice Rector for Student and Alumni, Dr. Rilla Gantino, SE, Ak. MM as Vice Rector for Colaboration and Development, and invited guests who attended. The visit was represented by Dr. Daryl Smith as Director of UFV International and David McGuire as Associate Vice President of UFV International. Both were warmly welcomed by the Universitas Esa Unggul community facilitated by the International Affairs Office Team. This visit aims to foster academic cooperation and collaboration with both universities.
Then, through this visit, the UEU and UFV delegations discussed opportunities for joint research, curriculum development, student exchange, and professional development for faculty members. UFV offered joint research opportunities with UEU in various fields of science. Positive responses were given by both parties regarding the various possibilities that are present in the future for mutually beneficial cooperation.
Dr. Daryl Smith, Director of UFV International, stated, “Through this visit, we hope to introduce more students and faculty at both universities to collaboration and academic development. We believe that this collaboration will enrich the educational experience for both parties.”
David McGuire, Associate Vice President of UFV International, added, “We are very pleased to be able to visit Universitas Esa Unggul and receive such a warm welcome. We are committed to supporting and continuing cooperation with Universitas Esa Unggul in order to present positive activities. University of the Fraser Valley opens various opportunities for both students and faculty members.”
Vice Rector of Universitas Esa Unggul for Collaboration and Development, Dr. Rilla Gantino, SE, Ak, MM, in her remarks expressed her high appreciation for the visit from the University of the Fraser Valley and welcomed the good intentions directed to Universitas Esa Unggul. “We are very open to opportunities to build close international relationships with leading universities in the world. One of them, we see UFV as a partner that is in line with UEU has the potential to expand global horizons for students and staff.”
Arief Kusuma Among Praja, ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng. as the rector of Universitas Esa Unggul, on the occasion said that, “We warmly welcome the visit from the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) and are honored to be able to host the delegation led by Mr. David McGuire and Mr. Dr. Daryl Smith. This visit is an important step in expanding Universitas Esa Unggul’s international network, as well as strengthening educational relationships. In addition to formal discussions, the visit also included presentations from the University of the Fraser Valley and a Q&A session to explore opportunities for collaboration. Each faculty has various activities that have the potential to be collaborated with the University of the Fraser Valley. It is hoped that through the activities that have been carried out, it can be the beginning of greater cooperation initiatives in the future.
