Esaunggul.ac.id, In the blessed atmosphere of the holy month of Ramadan, Esa Unggul University (UEU) successfully held a Welcome Students Regular Program II & Postgraduate event for the Even Academic Year 2024/2025 with the theme “The Role of Technology in Creating a Smart Sustainable Campus with Green Minds and Global Solutions”. The event took place at the Kemala Ballroom of Esa Unggul University on Saturday, March 15, 2025, and was attended by new students, lecturers, and university leaders.

The event began with the singing of Indonesia Raya, which was sung by all participants and invited guests in the Kemala Ballroom. After that, the event continued with a report and reading of the New Student Admission Decree (SK) by the Head of the New Student Admission Committee, Vice Rector for Student & Alumni Affairs, Ari Pambudi, S.Kom., M.Kom.

Then, the Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma Among Praja, ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, said in his speech, “We believe that technology has a big role in shaping the future of education and creating a smart and sustainable campus environment. New students are expected to be able to utilize technological developments wisely to contribute in the academic and professional world.”

Furthermore, the event continued with the socialization of UEU Powered By Arizona State University delivered by the Vice Rector for Cooperation and Development, Dr. Rian Adi Pamungkas, S.Kep., MNS., PHN. In this socialization, it was explained how UEU’s cooperation with Arizona State University can provide a global education experience for students.

After that, participants received explanations about academic information delivered by various parties, namely:

  • BAP (Education Administration Bureau): Dr. Nina Nurhasanah, SE, MM.
  • BKS (Bureau of Student Affairs and Facilities):Dr. Yosevine Karnawati, SE.Ak., MM.
  • Library: Astrid Chrisafi, SE, M.Hum.

Untuk menyemarakkan acara, mahasiswa juga disuguhkan penampilan lagu yang dibawakan oleh Budi Kharisma.

In the main session, the seminar entitled “Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities in Education” was delivered by Edy Fajar Prasetyo, SP. In this seminar, participants were invited to understand the development of artificial intelligence and its impact on the world of education. This seminar was also followed by a discussion and question and answer session, where participants could interact directly with the speakers.

The event was closed with a group photo session, followed by socialization according to each participant’s study program. This activity is the first step for new students of Esa Unggul University to get to know the academic environment, and understand the role of technology in realizing a smart and sustainable campus.
