Esaunggul.ac.id, Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU) made another achievement by expanding its international cooperation network through its participation in the “Pioneering Foreign Cooperation with LLDIKTI3” activity which took place in Hungary. This activity aims to strengthen relations between higher education institutions in Indonesia and abroad, as well as improve the quality of education through various strategic collaborations (24/09/2024).

The event began with a dinner together and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Indonesian Embassy in Hungary and Denes Gabor University. In this activity, several important figures were present, including:

  • Indonesian Ambassador to Hungary, Y.M. Mr. A.H. Dimas Wahab
  • Social and Cultural Affairs Officer, Ifan Mahdiyat Sofiana
  • Dr. Laszlo Szabo, Director of Resources, Gábor Dénes Egyetem
  • Prof. Toni Toharudin, Head of LLDIKTI3
  • Head of Higher Education in the LLDIKTI3 region

This collaboration is the first step for universities under LLDIKTI3 to build a wider international network and strengthen their position in the global arena.

Furthermore, in the series of activities, a cooperation discussion was also held with the University of Debrecen, Hungary. The discussion was attended by the Head of LLDIKTI3, Prof. Toni Toharudin, and his staff, as well as representatives of the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) Hungary and ten universities from Indonesia. The meeting discussed various collaboration opportunities, ranging from student exchange programs, joint research, to curriculum development in accordance with global needs.

The Rector of Universitas Esa Unggul, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P., ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, said that Universitas Esa Unggul is committed to continue expanding networks and strengthening international cooperation to improve the quality of education and research at the global level. Our participation in this activity with LLDIKTI3 in Hungary is a strategic step to open new opportunities for students, lecturers, and researchers.

One of the main achievements in this activity was the signing of the MOU between Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU) and Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Hungary. This MOU opens opportunities for cooperation in the fields of education, research, and human resource development. This collaboration is expected to have a positive impact on both universities, especially in strengthening academic and research capabilities.

Prof. Toni Toharudin, Head of LLDIKTI3, said, “We really appreciate the steps taken by universities, including Universitas Esa Unggul, in collaborating with educational institutions in Hungary. This is a concrete form of effort to improve the quality and competitiveness of Indonesian higher education at the international level.”

This activity is part of LLDIKTI3’s initiative to encourage universities in Indonesia to be more active in establishing international partnerships, in order to advance education and research that are more innovative and relevant. With this international cooperation, it is hoped that more opportunities will be created for students and lecturers to participate in programs on a global scale.
