Esaunggul.ac.id, In an effort to encourage the improvement of the quality of scientific publications in the academic environment, the Public Health Study Program (Kesmas) of Esa Unggul University held a guest lecture entitled “The Surefire Strategy for Scientific Writing for Accredited Journal Publications” on Monday, June 16, 2025.
This event presented the main speaker, Narila Mutia Nasir, S.K.M., M.K.M., Ph.D, an active lecturer and researcher from Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta. Dr. Narila is known as one of the academics who is productive in writing and publishing scientific papers in reputable journals.
In his presentation session, Dr. Narila discussed various practical strategies that can be applied by students and lecturers in preparing scientific articles that are worthy of publication in national and international accredited journals. Some of the important points highlighted included the selection of relevant topics, writing structure, publication ethics, to the process of submitting and revising articles.
“Scientific writing is not enough with a good idea, but it also requires strategy and understanding of journal standards. Consistency and the courage to keep learning are the main keys,” said Dr. Narila in the discussion session.

This activity received a positive response from the academic community where many students attended and were active in the question and answer session. The enthusiasm of the participants shows the high awareness of the importance of scientific publications in supporting academic achievement and scientific development.
The Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma Among Praja, ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, in his speech appreciated the initiative of the Public Health Study Program in organizing academic activities that strengthen scientific culture on campus.

Through activities like this, we want to equip students and lecturers with scientific writing skills that not only meet national standards, but are also able to compete at the global level,” he said.
Through this guest lecture, Esa Unggul University hopes to continue creating an academic environment that is productive, innovative, and adaptive to the challenges of scientific publications today.
