Esaunggul.ac.id, Universitas Esa Unggul recorded a proud achievement in the UI Greenmetric 2024 national university ranking. In this ranking event, Esa Unggul University managed to move up two ranks to 31 at the national level, a significant achievement compared to the previous year’s position. In addition, at the international level, the university also experienced a remarkable surge, rising 32 ranks and successfully occupying the 229th position in the world.
The ranking announcement was made during the UI Greenmetric National University Ranking Award Ceremony held on 17 December 2024, at Graha Sanusi Hardjadinata, Dipati Ukur, Bandung. The event was attended by various representatives of leading universities in Indonesia, as well as parties involved in sustainability development in the education sector.
UI Greenmetric is a ranking conducted by Universitas Indonesia (UI) to assess the extent to which universities in the world apply the principles of sustainability and environmental friendliness in their campus environment. Some aspects assessed include energy management, carbon emission reduction, water management, sustainable transport, and campus involvement in environmental conservation efforts.
The Rector of Universitas Esa Unggul, Dr Ir. Arief Kusuma Among Praja, ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, expressed his pride for this achievement. ‘The achievement of Esa Unggul University, which rose two ranks at the national level and 32 ranks at the world level, is the result of hard work and commitment of our entire academic community to realise a greener and more sustainable campus. We will continue to strive to improve the quality of sustainability in the campus environment,’ he said.
