Universitas Esa Unggul Holds Commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday 1446 H with the Theme “Traces of Love & Light from the Steps of the Leader of the Ummah”

Esaunggul.ac.id, Universitas Esa Unggul held a commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday with great wisdom. Themed “Traces of Love & Light from the Steps of the Leader of the Ummah”, this event invited a famous religious figure, Habib Geys Assegaf, as the main speaker. The event took place in the Esa Unggul University Hall and was attended by students, lecturers, and other academicians (01/11/2024).

The event began with a solemn recitation of tilawah, marking the opening of the event and creating a sacred atmosphere. Furthermore, the Chief Executive of the event gave a speech, expressing gratitude for the implementation of this event and the hope that the Maulid of the Prophet Muhammad SAW would become a moment of mutual reflection.

In his speech, the Rector of Universitas Esa Unggul, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P., ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, emphasized the importance of emulating the Prophet Muhammad as a compassionate and wise leader of the people. “This Maulid commemoration is not just an annual ritual, but an opportunity to explore the values of goodness and leadership of the Prophet which are very relevant for all of us,” he said.

Habib Geys Assegaf

The event continued with a lecture from Habib Geys Assegaf, who raised meaningful stories from the life journey of the Prophet Muhammad. Habib Geys Assegaf also invited all participants to reflect the characteristics of the Prophet in their daily lives as a form of love and respect for the Messenger.

After the lecture session, the event continued with a talk show and question and answer session. The participants enthusiastically interacted with Habib Geys Assegaf, asking various topics related to the teachings and life of the Prophet Muhammad SAW which are relevant to today’s challenges. The talk show provided an interactive atmosphere and deepened the participants’ understanding of Islamic values that are full of love and wisdom.

The event was closed with a group photo between Habib Geys Assegaf and the Rector of Universitas Esa Unggul as a symbol of togetherness and respect. At this moment, both parties gave each other souvenirs, symbolizing friendship and appreciation from Universitas Esa Unggul to Habib Geys Assegaf.

The commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday this time is expected to be an inspiration for all academicians of Universitas Esa Unggul in living a better life and based on the noble example of the Prophet.
