Esaunggul.ac.id, Head of Public Relations and Protocol of Universitas Esa Unggul, Bugi Satrio Adiwibowo, Ph.D., with more than 25 years of experience in the broadcast industry, was invited as a speaker at the International Conference on Health Sciences with the theme “How to Promote Physical Fitness and Sport Nutrition by Using Social Media, TV, and Radio” at Mu’tah University, Jordan. The event took place on October 23-24, 2024, held in two cities namely Mu’tah and Amman.

Opening of the Fourth International Sport Science Conference for Sport and Health Sciences, which aims to enhance knowledge cooperation between faculties and specialists in the field of sport regionally and globally.

The President of the University, Dr. Salama Al-Naimat, conveyed ideas in her speech that reflected the value of the university, which takes pride in exchanging experiences with all those who will develop its academic path, as the university is founded on strong principles that seek to disseminate knowledge and advance society through education, scientific research, and community service, which is manifested in connecting research and conferences with its needs; to find solutions that ease people’s lives and help them facilitate the requirements for obtaining correct information.

On this occasion, Bugi Satrio combined his practical experience in broadcasting with his dissertation research on the characteristics of netizens. This approach allowed him to present a comprehensive perspective on health promotion and sports nutrition strategies through social media, TV, and radio. He highlights the importance of understanding the behavior of today’s digital audiences, so that health messages can be more effectively delivered and impactful.

“My experience in the broadcast industry and research on netizen characteristics allows me to understand how communication approaches must continue to evolve. Through a combination of social media, TV, and radio, we can reach various audiences with a more interactive and personalized method,” said Bugi Satrio in his presentation session.

The session also drew the attention of academics and students from various backgrounds in Jordan, who showed great interest in the influence of media in encouraging healthy lifestyles. This activity not only enriched the participants’ insights, but also opened up opportunities for collaboration between Esa Unggul University and Mu’tah University in the future.
