Esaunggul.ac.id, Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU) and Garut University (UNIGA) officially established a cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Garut University. This cooperation aims to strengthen synergies in the fields of education, research, and community service, in line with the commitment of both universities in supporting the development of the quality of education in Indonesia.
The signing of the MoU was represented by the Vice Rector for Cooperation of Garut University, Dr. H. Irfan Nabhani, M.T., and the Head of the Cooperation Bureau of Universitas Esa Unggul, Dr. Ayu Larasati, S.Sos., M.I.Kom. Both agreed to open collaboration opportunities in various academic and non-academic fields that will benefit students and teaching staff from both universities.
In addition to the signing of the MoU, the two institutions also signed an Academic Implementation Cooperation Agreement (PKS IA) which includes comparative studies between faculties. The Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Communication Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Computer Science from Universitas Esa Unggul agreed to collaborate with the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Economics, and Faculty of Computer Science from Garut University. This collaboration includes knowledge exchange, research, and development of educational programs that are in line with the needs of today’s workforce.
“This cooperation is a strategic step for both universities in improving the quality of education and research, as well as expanding the national collaboration network. We hope this cooperation can have a positive impact on students and the surrounding community,” said Dr. Ayu Larasati after the signing.
Furthermore, the cooperation between the two universities was strengthened with a Community Service program held at SMK Setia Bhakti, Cilawu, Garut on the same day. This program is a concrete form of Universitas Esa Unggul commitment in carrying out the Tri Dharma of higher education, by contributing to the community through education and training activities.
With the signing of this MoU and PKS IA, Universitas Esa Unggul and Garut University hope to continue to build sustainable synergies in creating competent graduates, ready to face global challenges, and actively contribute to community development.
