Esaunggul.ac.id, Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) received a visit from Esa Unggul University (UEU) in order to benchmark the Statistics Corner. This activity aims to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions and share experiences in managing statistical data services in the academic environment.
The Esa Unggul University delegation that attended this visit consisted of the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Dr. Harlinda Syofyan, S.Si., M.Pd., Head of the Esa Unggul University Cooperation Bureau, Dr. Ayu Larasati, S.Sos., M.I.Kom., and a team from Esa Unggul University. The group was welcomed by representatives from Universitas Negeri Jakarta who explained the concept, benefits, and implementation of the Statistics Corner in their academic environment.
During the meeting, the two institutions discussed various aspects related to statistical data management, technology utilization in providing data services, and strategies to increase data literacy for students and lecturers. Esa Unggul University hopes that through this benchmarking, they can adopt best practices in managing the Statistics Corner to improve the quality of data services on campus.
Dr. Harlinda Syofyan said that this visit was a strategic step in supporting the strengthening of data literacy for the academic community of Esa Unggul University. “We want to learn from the experience of Universitas Negeri Jakarta in managing the Statistics Corner so that it can be applied at Esa Unggul University. Good data literacy is very important to support data-based research and decision making,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ayu Larasati added that this collaboration is expected to continue in the form of training programs, joint research, and the development of data-based platforms that can be accessed by students and lecturers at both universities.
The Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P., ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, also appreciated this activity. “Data literacy is a crucial aspect in the academic and industrial world. With this benchmarking, Esa Unggul University seeks to strengthen the data ecosystem that can be utilized by students and lecturers in scientific and research development. We hope this cooperation can provide wider benefits for both institutions,” he said.
This benchmarking activity ended with a question and answer session and a tour of the Statistics Corner facility at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Both parties hope that this visit can be the beginning of closer cooperation in improving the quality of data literacy in higher education in Indonesia.
