Esaunggul.ac.id, Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU) through the Faculty of Law, in collaboration with the Business Law Study Program of Agung Podomoro University, held the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) and Implementing Agreement (IA) in order to strengthen academic synergy. This event was followed by a collaborative webinar with the theme “Opportunities and Challenges of Downstreaming Intellectual Property Research Results in Higher Education as Intangible Assets,” which was held virtually.

The event was attended by Dr. Ayu Larasati, S.Sos., M.Ikom., Head of Cooperation Bureau of Universitas Esa Unggul, and Felix Oktarianto, S.Kom., M.M., Head of Cooperation Bureau of Agung Podomoro University. Both signed the PKS and IA which became the basis for strategic cooperation in the fields of law and education.

Through this partnership, both universities hope to improve the quality of education in various fields and expand the network of educational collaboration. The main focus of this partnership is to strengthen the ability of universities to manage intellectual property research results into intangible assets that are of high value to the institution.

“This cooperation is expected to pave the way for increased collaboration in the fields of research, business law development, and downstreaming of intellectual property research results. We believe this synergy will benefit both parties in expanding access and quality of higher education in Indonesia,” said Dr. Ayu Larasati in her speech.

In addition, the webinar held after the signing discussed in depth the opportunities and challenges in managing intellectual property in higher education, as well as how to utilize it as an intangible asset for the sustainability of educational institutions.
