Esaunggul.ac.id, Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the Labuan Bajo Regent’s office, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Esa Unggul University and the Labuan Bajo Regency Government. The event was attended by the Regent of Labuan Bajo, Edistasius Endi, S.E., the Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P. ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, and the Vice Regent, Dr. Yulianus Weng, M.Kes.
The signing of this MoU marks a joint commitment to establish cooperation in the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially in terms of internship programs, scholarships, and teaching practitioners. Both parties realize the importance of synergy between the world of higher education and local government to create quality human resources and encourage sustainable development in the Labuan Bajo region.
The Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P. ST., MBA., IPU, ASEAN Eng, who was present at the signing, said
The Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P. ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, stated, “This cooperation is a positive step in supporting quality higher education that is relevant to the needs of society and industry. Through internship programs, scholarships, and practitioner involvement in teaching, we hope to make a real contribution to the development of Labuan Bajo,” he said.
One of the main focuses of this collaboration is to increase student access to practical experience through internship programs in various relevant industrial sectors. In addition, scholarship support will be provided to outstanding students who wish to pursue studies at Esa Unggul University.
This cooperation is expected to become a model for collaboration between universities and local governments across Indonesia, creating a significant positive impact in improving the quality of education and human resource development at the local level.
