esaunggul.ac.id, Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU) successfully held an International Sharing Session entitled “Rethinking and Realigning Higher Education to 21st Century Workforce”. The event, which was attended by lecturers and stakeholders, aimed to discuss the adaptation of higher education in preparing a competent and relevant workforce in the modern era (13/11/2024).

The session was officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Esa Unggul, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P., ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, who in his speech emphasized the importance of higher education transformation to answer the challenges of globalization and dynamic industrial changes. “We are committed to continuously adjusting the curriculum and learning system so that our graduates are not only ready to work, but also able to compete globally,” said Dr. Arief.

The event was also attended by the Rector of the American University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Said Irandoust, who shared international insights on developments and innovations in the higher education system. He provided a new perspective on how universities in different parts of the world can work together to address the gap between the skills needed in the field and the capabilities of graduates.

This activity took place at Universitas Esa Unggul, Building A, room 207-208, with active participation of lecturers in discussions on relevant strategies and best practices to produce high-quality graduates. This discussion is expected to be the first step in strengthening the role of universities in producing a competent workforce that is ready to face changes and technological developments as well as the needs of the global labor market.

This International Sharing Session received wide appreciation from the participants who hoped that similar events could continue to be held to support the development of higher education quality at Universitas Esa Unggul.
