Esaunggul.ac.id, Faculty of Communication Sciences of Universitas Esa Unggul is exploring opportunities for collaboration with the Faculty of Arts and Letters at the University of Santo Tomas (UST). Both faculties will collaborate through joint research to be published in international journals.
“We invite joint research for lecturers to be published,” said the International Cooperation Coordinator of the UST Faculty of Arts and Letters, Assoc. Prof. Michelle, Ph.D accompanied by internal lecturers in her room, yesterday afternoon, after an academic presentation with Journalism students. Also attending this event was the affiliation of the University of Santo Tomas, namely the Director of Academic Affairs of UST Angelicum College, Prof. Eunice Mareth Q. Areola, Ph.D and her entourage.
She said she is ready to share scientific articles that will be published in accredited publishers, including in her faculty which has the UNITAS Journal. This scientific journal pays attention to studies that discuss interesting issues that occur across disciplines. It is published in two versions: print and online. “So this is an interdicipline science study published in print and online which is published annually,” said Michelle.
Fikom UEU was represented by the Head of the Master of Communication Studies Program, Ruslan Ramli Ph.D. He said that his party was also open to building academic relations with universities in the Philippines, including UST. Fikom lecturers have an attention to improve competence and scientific capacity through joint research programs .
“We welcome the exploration of collaboration between the two universities. In addition, another academic activity is an international conference. This event will also be interesting to present both institutions in the capacity of speakers and participants,” said Ruslan.
For publishing, he said the campus has dozens of journals managed by the publishing bureau. Each faculty provides publication space for internal lecturers and writers from outside. Especially for Fikom, it has the Communicology Journal. “It is published twice a year in OJS format,” Ruslan explained.
