The Faculty of Communication of Universitas Esa Unggul Powered by Arizona State University held an Implementation Agreement (IA) Signing and Comparative Study with Harian Terbit on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Esa Unggul.
The signing of the IA and Comparative Study is a strategic step in strengthening the cooperative relationship between the world of education and the media industry. The event was represented by Ms. Devi D, Accounting Executive of Harian Terbit, and Mr. Zainul, Cooperation section of Harian Terbit. From Esa Unggul University Powered by Arizona State University, Mr. Agus and Mr. Salman as Communication Science lecturers, as well as Ms. Deviana Sinabutar, S.S., Head of the Cooperation Subdivision were present.
Rektor Universitas Esa Unggul, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P., ST., MBA., IPU, ASEAN Eng., expressed his support for this collaboration. “We welcome the collaboration between the Faculty of Communication of Esa Unggul and Harian Terbit. This collaboration is expected to give birth to various programs such as seminars, internship programs for students, and community service that has a broad impact,” he said.
In the comparative study session, the participants discussed the latest trends in the media world and the challenges faced by the communication industry. Harian Terbit shared its experiences in media management and content innovation, which became valuable insights for the students and lecturers of the Faculty of Communication, Universitas Esa Unggul .
This collaboration is also expected to be a means to improve the competence of Communication Science students in understanding industry needs directly. The internship program designed with Harian Terbit will provide practical experience to students, while broadening their horizons in journalism and media management.
