Esaunggul.ac.id, Students of the Faculty of Design and Creative Industries (FDIK) Universitas Esa Unggul once again made a proud achievement by entering the top 5 in the Conceptual Interior Design Student category at the DAIKIN Proshop Designer Awards 2024. This competition is one of the prestigious events for students majoring in Architecture and Interior Design in Indonesia, and this time, FDIK students managed to show impressive work in the midst of intense competition.
DAIKIN Proshop Designer Awards 2024: Celebrating 50 Years of Daikin in Indonesia
The first DAIKIN Proshop Designer Awards was held in 2020 to celebrate 50 years of Daikin’s presence in Indonesia. The competition aims to be a form of appreciation from Daikin to professional architects, interior designers, and students majoring in architecture and interior design. In this Designer Awards 2024, Daikin is holding the event again with the theme ‘EXPRESSION’, which invites participants to express their creative ideas about the ideal living space.
With the Theme ‘EXPRESSION’
At the DAIKIN Proshop Designer Awards 2024, participants were challenged to present interior design concepts that are not only innovative, but also reflect personal expression and spatial needs that suit modern lifestyles. This theme fuelled the participants to be creative, combining aesthetic elements with the functionality of living spaces.
Renowned Judges Assess the Work of FDIK Students
The competition involved professional judges from various fields who are competent in the world of design, including:
- Wenky Handono – DAIKIN Indonesia
- Alex Bayu Saputro – Interior Design Association of Indonesia (HDII)
- Tan Tik Lam – Indonesian Architect Association (IAI)
The judges‘ decision in assessing the participants’ works was very strict, focusing on the concept, creativity, and implementation of ideas in interior design. FDIK students of Universitas Esa Unggul managed to stand out with designs that not only met aesthetic standards, but were also relevant to the needs of a comfortable and modern living space.

In the DAIKIN Proshop Designer Awards 2024, the FDIK student team of Universitas Esa Unggul managed to steal the judges’ attention with their design work that depicts an ideal living space with a deep conceptual approach.
In their designs at the Designer Awards 2024, Esa Unggul students managed to combine the concepts of functionality and aesthetics, creating spaces that are not only visually beautiful but also comfortable to live in. FDIK interior design students who achieved this achievement are Zahra Amira Putri, Putri Naomi Windjaya and Balqis Khairiyah Salma.
