Esaunggul.ac.id, Jakarta, January 24, 2024, Faculty of Design and Creative Industry (DKV) Esa Unggul University together with PT Surya Palacejaya has presented a new breakthrough in the world of visual communication design through the launch of “Book Review: Paper and Book”. The event was officiated by the Vice Rector for Research, Development and Innovation Dr. Rian Adi Pamungkas, S.Kep, M.NS, PHN. Head of the Faculty of Design and Creative Industries Karna Mustaqim, S.Sn, MA, Ph.D, Head of the Visual Communication Design Study Program Rudi Heri Marwan, S.Sn, M.Ds, and representatives from PT Surya Palacejaya Tommy Wily and Tulus Pasaribu.
“Book Review: Paper and Book” is a revolutionary step in bringing a creative touch to the world of publishing and book design. This program not only emphasizes on the content of the book, but also on the visual design that becomes the main identity of the work. Students of the Visual Communication Design study program will be invited to explore new concepts in the presentation and presentation of information through books.

In his speech, Dr. Rian Adi Pamungkas stated, “This program is the embodiment of an extraordinary collaboration between Esa Unggul University and PT Surya Palacejaya. We believe ‘Book Review: Paper and Book’ will open students’ eyes to the untapped creative potential in the publishing world.”
In addition to emphasizing visual design, this collaboration also involves workshops and mentoring directly from industry practitioners. PT Surya Palacejaya will provide valuable insights into the latest trends and market needs for attractive and innovative book designs.
The launch event was followed by Karna Mustaqim and Rudi Heri Marwan, who gave high appreciation to the innovation offered by the “Book Review: Paper and Book” program. Both emphasized the importance of continuing to encourage creativity and innovation in visual communication design education.

Kaprodi DKV on his occasion said, this collaboration is an education for esa superior students to understand the quality of paper that must be used when making finising in design selection. He also hopes that the knowledge provided by the speaker can be absorbed and applied according to the needs of making designs.
Tommy Wily from PT Surya Palacejaya added, “We are very pleased to be involved in this project and believe that this collaboration will create excellent designers who are able to bring added value to the publishing industry.”
Through “Book Review: Paper and Book”, Esa Unggul University and PT Surya Palacejaya hope to produce graduates who not only have high visual communication design skills, but also have deep insight into how design can enrich the reading experience and convey messages in a more creative and effective way.
