Universitas Esa Unggul Tangerang Gelar Seminar Hybrid Series 31

esaunggul.ac.id – Universitas Esa Unggul Tangerang Campus successfully held the 31st Hybrid Series Seminar with the theme “Mastering the Art of Journalism in the Digital Age” which was attended by various expert speakers in their fields. This event took place in an online and offline format, presenting in-depth discussions about the challenges and opportunities in the world of digital journalism.

The seminar was opened by the Director of Operations of Universitas Esa Unggul Tangerang Campus, Dr. Drs. Dihin Septyanto, ME, and the Dean of Communication Sciences, Dr. Erna Febriani, S.Si, M.Si. Both delivered a warm welcome and hoped that this event could provide new insights and knowledge for participants in facing the increasingly rapid development of the journalistic world.

The first speaker, Dr. Dwi Firmansyah, an SCTV producer, explained the importance of understanding technology in the world of modern journalism, as well as how to manage information in the fast-paced digital era. Followed by the second speaker, Dr. Balian Siregar, S.Sos, M.Si, Vice Dean of Communication Science, who provided an academic perspective on the theory and practice of journalism in the digital world.

The last speaker, Mr. Muh. Ruslan Ramli, S.Sos, M.Si., Ph.D., talked about the role of journalists in shaping public opinion and the importance of integrity in managing news on digital platforms. The moderator, Ms. Yumelda Sari, S.Sos., M.Si, smartly directed the course of the discussion so that participants could absorb the information well.

The Rector of Universitas Esa Unggul, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma Among Praja, ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, also gave a positive response to this seminar. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the academic world and industry in facing the rapid development in the world of digital communication and journalism.

Not only that, Arizona State University also responded to this hybrid seminar event, suggesting that there should be more collaborative activities between universities at the international level to exchange knowledge about the latest trends and technologies in journalism.
