A total of 26 graduates of the 2024 Odd Batch of Ners Profession at UniversitasEsa Unggul officially took their professional oath in a solemn event at Building A, Esa Unggul University on Wednesday, December 13, 2024.

The event began with an opening by Ns. Widia Sari, S.Kep, M.Kep, Head of the Nursing Profession Study Program, who read the Education Report and Graduation Decree. The nurse oath-taking procession was led directly by Ns. Widia Sari, S.Kep, M.Kep, who was accompanied by clergy.

In her speech, S. Widia Sari, S.Kep, M.Kep said that this oath-taking is not just ceremonial, but is the beginning of a great moral and professional responsibility. The oath that will be pronounced today is a promise to uphold ethics, integrity, and dedication in providing the best service for the community, as well as maintaining the honor of the nursing profession.

He also expressed his highest appreciation to all those who have supported the smooth running of this educational process, especially the lecturers, administrative staff, and parents of graduates. The support, sacrifices, and prayers from all parties are an integral part of this success.

Furthermore, the graduates signed a statement letter as an official sign of having taken the nurse’s oath. This process was witnessed by Ns. Indra Jaya Permana, S.Kep, a representative from DPW PPNI DKI Jakarta, and Prof. Dr. Aprilita Rina Yanti Eff, M. Biomed, Apt, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Esa Unggul University.

The event continued with the handover of the PPNI Code of Ethics and Pin Book to the graduates. The symbolic handover was carried out by Ns. Indra Jaya Permana, S.Kep, and received by two alumni representatives.

In the speech session, Ns. Indra Jaya Permana, S.Kep, representing DPW PPNI DKI Jakarta, expressed his congratulations and hopes that the graduates can uphold the nursing code of ethics in carrying out their duties. Hilda Royarind, S.Kp., M.Kep, a representative from the West Jakarta Health Office, appreciated Esa Unggul University for its contribution in producing professional nurses.

The Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Aprilita Rina Yanti Eff, M. Biomed, Apt, also expressed pride in the success of the graduates. She emphasized the importance of integrity and commitment in providing the best health services to the community. The closing speech was delivered by the Head of the Study Program Ns. Widia Sari, S.Kep, M.Kep, who encouraged the graduates to continue learning and adapting to the development of the health world.

The Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P., ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng. on his occasion expressed his pride because the Nursing Science Study Program has shown extraordinary commitment in producing competent and qualified health workers. This is in line with the university’s vision to produce graduates who are not only academically superior but also able to contribute to society globally.

The Rector of Esa Unggul University would also like to express his appreciation to the lecturers, staff, and related parties who have worked hard to ensure that education at Esa Unggul University, especially in nursing, continues to meet high standards. My thanks also go to DPW PPNI DKI Jakarta and the West Jakarta Health Office who have provided support in the process of coaching and professional development of our graduates.

“I hope the graduates can continue to learn, develop, and inspire future generations. May your work in the world of health be a source of pride, not only for yourself and your family, but also for Esa Unggul University and the nation of Indonesia,” said Arief.

The event ended with a group photo session and handshake as a form of celebration for this extraordinary achievement. Hopefully the graduates of Esa Unggul University Nursing Profession can continue to work and contribute to the world of health in Indonesia and internationally.
