received a visit from UST Angelicum College, Philippines, in order to strengthen academic and institutional cooperation. This visit took place in Building A, room 211, Esa Unggul University (18/02/2025).
This activity was welcomed directly by the Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma Among Praja, ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng. and the Rector and President of UST Angelicum College, Fr. John Stephen P. Besa, OP. The presence of the UST Angelicum College delegation aims to explore various opportunities for collaboration between the two institutions, including in the areas of student exchange, joint research, and academic programs that support the improvement of educational quality.
In addition to the official meeting, the UST Angelicum College delegation also participated in an academic experience sharing session, which provided insights into educational practices at each institution. This activity was an opportunity for both universities to share innovative ideas in curriculum development and learning methods.
As part of the visit, the UST Angelicum College delegation also conducted a campus tour at Esa Unggul University. They visited various excellent facilities, including libraries, laboratories, and academic spaces that support technology-based learning.

The Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma Among Praja, ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, stated that the collaboration with UST Angelicum College is a strategic step in expanding the university’s international network. “We warmly welcome this visit as part of the effort to strengthen global cooperation. Hopefully, this collaboration can provide benefits for students and academics at both institutions,” he said.
Meanwhile, Rector and President of UST Angelicum College, Fr. John Stephen P. Besa, OP, expressed his enthusiasm for the potential cooperation. “We see many opportunities to collaborate with Esa Unggul University, especially in the academic field and student development. Hopefully this cooperation can continue to grow in the future,” he said.
The entire academic community of Esa Unggul University also warmly welcomed the guests from the Philippines. Also attending the event were the Vice Rector for Research, Development and Innovation, Dr. Rian Adi Pamungkas, S.Kep, MNS, PHN; Vice Rector for Cooperation and Development, Dr. Rilla Gantino, SE, Ak, MM; as well as deans and vice deans from the Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Computer Science, and Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. In addition, the Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service and his team, the Head of the Language and Culture Institute, and the entire International Affairs Office team also welcomed the delegation.
This visit marks the beginning of a closer relationship between Esa Unggul University and UST Angelicum College, with the hope that there will be various cooperation initiatives that bring benefits to both institutions in improving the quality of education and academic experience for students.
