Esaunggul.ac.id, Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU) continues to strengthen cooperation networks with various strategic institutions to support national development programs. This time, UEU held an audience with the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia to discuss collaboration opportunities in the fields of education, research, and community service.
The event, which took place at the Office of the Ministry of Transmigration, was attended by the Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P., ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, along with university leaders. In this audience, both parties discussed synergies in human resource development, training programs for transmigrant communities, and joint research that can have a positive impact on the development of transmigration areas.
In his speech, Dr. Arief Kusuma conveyed the importance of the role of universities in supporting government programs, especially in improving the welfare of people in transmigration areas. “Esa Unggul University has a commitment to contribute to national development through education and research based on community needs. We hope this cooperation can produce concrete and sustainable programs in improving the quality of life of people in transmigration areas,” he said.
Furthermore, Dr. Arief Kusuma added that this collaboration is expected to open opportunities for students and lecturers to participate in community empowerment programs. “Through this collaboration, we want to provide opportunities for students to be directly involved in community service programs, while equipping them with real experience in the field. This is part of our efforts to produce graduates who not only excel academically, but also have high social awareness,” he added.
Meanwhile, representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Transmigration welcomed the initiative of Esa Unggul University and considered that collaboration with universities is very important in accelerating development in transmigration areas. They also hope that this collaboration can be followed up immediately with real programs involving students, academics, and local communities.
This audience was the first step for Esa Unggul University and the Indonesian Ministry of Transmigration in designing cooperation that has a broad impact on regional development. In the future, both parties will follow up this meeting with an official agreement and implementation of mutually agreed programs.
Through this initiative, Esa Unggul University further emphasizes its role as an educational institution that not only focuses on academics, but also contributes to the social and economic development of Indonesian society.
