Esaunggul.ac.id, Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU) through the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) signed a collaboration with the Catholic University of Indonesia Atma Jaya (Unika Atma Jaya) regarding the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG). This cooperation meeting took place in room R207, Esa Unggul University Campus Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta, as an effort to strengthen the quality of education and teacher professionalism (30/10/2024).
The event was attended by stakeholders from both institutions. From Unika Atma Jaya, the Head of PPG Department, Head of Guidance and Counseling Department, and the Coordinator of the Faculty Quality Assurance Team were present. While from Universitas Esa Unggul, the Head of the Cooperation Bureau, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Head of the English Education Study Program, Head of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, and Head of the FKIP Study Center of Esa Unggul University were present.
In her speech, the Head of Cooperation Bureau of Universitas Esa Unggul, Dr. Ayu Larasati, S.Sos., M.I.Kom., conveyed the importance of this collaboration as a step to improve the quality of teachers in Indonesia. “We are very enthusiastic about working with Unika Atma Jaya to develop the Teacher Professional Education Program. This is a real step by Universitas Esa Unggul in supporting the improvement of the quality of national education, especially in the field of teaching,” she said.
This cooperation will cover various aspects, ranging from curriculum development, increasing lecturer competence, to providing training and mentoring programs for prospective teachers. The Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Esa Unggul also expressed his hope that this collaboration would have a significant impact in preparing competent and highly competitive teachers.
This collaboration is expected to make a positive contribution to both institutions, especially in the implementation of PPG in accordance with national and international standards. With this collaboration, Universitas Esa Unggul and Unika Atma Jaya are committed to continuously improving the quality of PPG graduates to be ready to face the challenges of education in the global era.
