The first benefit of breakfast is increased energy. After sleeping all night, the body needs a supply of nutrients to restore the energy reserves that were used up during sleep. If you don’t eat breakfast, your body will lack energy, which will affect your mind and focus. With a healthy and sufficient breakfast, the brain can function optimally, which is very much needed by students in the midst of busy activities.

In addition, breakfast plays a role in maintaining the body’s metabolism. Breakfast helps regulate blood sugar and prevents a drop in glucose levels that causes fatigue or dizziness. When breakfast is skipped, the body has a tendency to store more fat, resulting in less efficient metabolism. Eventually, the body becomes lethargic and unenergetic.

Other negative impacts can arise when a person skips breakfast. One of them is impaired concentration. Not getting enough nutrition in the morning makes it difficult for students to focus on following learning activities. Furthermore, skipping breakfast leads to the risk of overeating in the afternoon, which leads to an increase in body weight. 

Besides the physical effects, skipping breakfast affects your mood. The resulting drop in blood sugar levels can lead to a bad mood. This has the potential to disrupt students’ academic performance, which requires emotional balance in order to concentrate well. 

Therefore, it is important for students to choose a breakfast that is practical, healthy and economical. There are several easy breakfast options including whole grain bread with jam, oatmeal with fruits, smoothies, or milk. These recommendations are easy to prepare and contain fiber and essential nutrients to maintain stamina and concentration while studying.  

By prioritizing breakfast, students can experience long-term benefits such as improved concentration, stable stamina, and overall health. Breakfast does more than fulfill nutritional needs, it also supports a better quality of life in the midst of a busy routine.
