Mahasiswa FIKOM UEU Raih Juara 3 di Bogor Orientering 2024
Esaunggul.ac.id – Hanifa Harry Saputri (NIM: 20230502064), a student of the Faculty of Communication Sciences (FIKOM) Universitas Esa Unggul class of 2023, made another achievement by winning 3rd place in the W 20 category at the Bogor Orientering Competition. This competition took place at Cibinong Botanical Garden on September 21, 2024.
Bogor Orientering Competition is a navigation-based sporting event that tests participants’ ability to find certain points in a predetermined terrain, using maps and compasses. The competition is attended by participants from various regions and age levels, including the W 20 category which is intended for women aged 20 years and under. This event not only tests physicality but also intelligence and quick analytical skills in the field.
In this championship, Hanifa showed an outstanding performance with a mature strategy and high fighting spirit. Hanifa’s achievement is a source of pride for Esa Unggul University, especially the Faculty of Communication Sciences.
The Rector of Universitas Esa Unggul, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma Among Praja, S.T., M.B.A., IPU, ASEAN Eng. gave his response to this success. He stated, “Hanifa’s achievement is proof that Esa Unggul University students not only excel academically but also have extraordinary abilities in non-academic fields. I hope this victory can be an inspiration for other students to continue to excel.”
The role of Powered by Arizona (PBA) was also very important in supporting Hanifa’s preparation for the competition. The PBA team provided assistance in the form of physical and mental training, as well as technical support during preparation and competition. This collaboration proves PBA’s commitment in encouraging Esa Unggul students to continue developing in various fields.
In addition to being a competition event, the Bogor Orientering Competition also provided a space for participants to learn more about the importance of navigation and strategy in facing diverse terrains. Hanifa revealed that this experience gave her valuable lessons about accuracy, patience, and speed in making decisions.
