Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Esa Unggul successfully held a National Seminar and Call for Paper with the theme “Mindfulness and Emotional Regulation: A Path to Stress Resilience”. This event took place in Building A, Room 207, Esa Unggul in a hybrid manner, attended by hundreds of students, academics, and psychology practitioners (18/12/2024).
The event began with remarks from the Chief Executive, Aisyah Ratnaningtyas, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist, who expressed her hope that this seminar could provide new insights into emotion regulation and mindfulness in dealing with stress.
The speech was continued by the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Yuli Asmi Rozali, S.Psi, M.Psi, Psychologist, who emphasized the importance of this topic to support mental well-being in the modern era. He also added “The National Seminar and Call for Paper with the theme ‘Mindfulness and Emotional Regulation: A Path to Stress Resilience’ is one of the manifestations of the commitment of the Faculty of Psychology, Esa Unggul University to make a real contribution to the development of science, especially in the field of psychology. This theme is very relevant to the challenges faced by modern society, where stress and psychological pressure are increasing.
We hope that this activity will not only provide theoretical insights, but also provide practical solutions that can be applied by participants in their daily lives. By presenting competent speakers and interactive sessions, we believe this seminar will be able to open new perspectives and provide long-term benefits, both for students, academics, and practitioners who attend.
The Vice Rector for Research, Development, and Innovation, Dr. Rian Adi Pamungkas, S.Kep., MNS, PHN, who was present at the event also gave his appreciation for the Faculty of Psychology’s initiative in organizing academic activities that are relevant to the needs of the community. “Thank you to all parties who have contributed to the success of this event, especially the speakers and participants. Hopefully the Faculty of Psychology at Esa Unggul University will continue to be a pioneer in supporting the mental well-being of the community through innovative activities like this,” he said.
This seminar presented two speakers who are competent in their fields. Dr. dr. Fidiansjah, SpKJ, MPH, discussed the mindfulness approach as an effective tool for managing stress, while Dr. (Cand.) Alucyana, M.Psi., Psychologist, reviewed emotion regulation strategies that support resilience to psychological stress. The discussion, guided by moderator Mikaela Berliyana Alitani, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist, was interactive with a question and answer session that engaged the enthusiasm of the participants.
In addition to gaining knowledge from the seminar, students were also given the opportunity to discuss directly with the speakers through Q&A sessions. This interaction provided a deeper learning experience while enriching the participants’ insights.
At the end of the event, the Faculty of Psychology of Esa Unggul University gave certificates of appreciation to the speakers as a sign of appreciation and hospitality. The event was closed with a photo session with all participants, speakers, and organizers, which became an unforgettable moment of togetherness.
