esaunggul.ac.id – Universitas Esa Unggul has made another proud achievement. Hanifa Harry Saputri (20230502064), a student of the Faculty of Communication Sciences (FIKOM) class of 2023, won 2nd place in the W 21 category in the MAPELBA 2 Orientering Competition.

The competition was organized by MAPELBA Banten to commemorate a decade of the organization’s establishment. The competition, which took place at Bina Bangsa University, Banten, on December 13-14, 2024, was attended by 120 participants from Mapala, Sispala, and the public from various regions in Indonesia.

Mapala, or Student Nature Lovers, is a student organization engaged in nature conservation and adventure activities such as climbing, orienteering, and nature exploration. Mapala not only focuses on adventure, but also hones leadership skills, cooperation, and concern for the environment.

The Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma Among Praja, S.T., M.B.A., IPU, ASEAN Eng., expressed his high appreciation to Hanifa for this achievement. “Hanifa’s achievement in the MAPELBA 2 Orientering Competition shows the dedication and enthusiasm of Esa Unggul University students to continue to excel, both in academic and non-academic fields. Competitions like this not only hone physical abilities, but also strategic skills, cooperation, and mental endurance. We will continue to support students in achieving proud achievements, while inspiring other students to dare to compete and bring the name of the university to a higher level,” he said.

Hanifa’s success cannot be separated from the full support provided through the Powered By Arizona (PBA) program. This program aims to develop the potential of Esa Unggul University students by providing coaching that focuses on skill development and participation in various national and international competitions.
