Esa Unggul University Language & Culture Institute together with the International Office and Promotion and Marketing Team successfully organized the annual Esa Unggul International Event 2025, an event that brings together the spirit of international collaboration, student creativity, and appreciation of global culture. The event took place at the main campus of Esa Unggul University, West Jakarta, and was attended by various groups of students, lecturers, and invited guests from within and outside the country.
The series of events began at 07.30 WIB with a preparation session, followed by the official opening at 09.00 WIB with a prayer together and singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya and Mars Esa Unggul University. The opening remarks were delivered by the Rector or Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni of Esa Unggul University.
The Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P., ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, regarding the success of Esa Unggul International Events 2025, “Esa Unggul International Events 2025 is a clear proof of our commitment in building an inclusive, multicultural, and globally oriented campus atmosphere. This event not only strengthens friendship between nations, but also appreciates the talents and achievements of international students who have become an important part of the Esa Unggul University community,” he said.
An important moment in this event was the launch of the collaboration between Esa Unggul University and King Sejong Institute Jakarta, which was marked by the signing of the MoU and remarks from representatives of King Sejong Institute Jakarta. This collaboration is expected to strengthen educational and cultural relations between Indonesia and South Korea.
Esa Unggul International Event 2025 also became a stage for various competitions and stunning art performances, including:
- English Storytelling, which showcases students’ creativity and foreign language skills.
- Korean-style Fashion Show, combining modern fashion with elements of Korean popular culture.
- The K-pop Dance Competition is a showcase for talent in modern Korean dance in groups.
- International Student Performances, including a poetry reading by Mohamed, an international student from Sudan.
In addition to the competition, the event was also enlivened by a talk show with Kim Geba (Bung KOrea), a popular Korean YouTuber in Indonesia, and an educational workshop with Yuta Otake from Mangrove Edu, USA.
The event was closed with the announcement of the competition winners and closing remarks from the committee. Here is the list of winners:

- Juara 1: Rahmalia Utami Budi – SMK Negeri 2 Jakarta (Rp 750.000 + Sertifikat)
- Juara 2: Naurah Hanun Khadijah – SMKN 14 Jakarta (Rp 500.000 + Sertifikat)
- Juara 3: Rivaldi Ramadhan – SMK Islam Said Naum (Rp 350.000 + Sertifikat)
K-pop Dance Competition (Kelompok):
- Juara 1: Unity Groves – UEU Bekasi (Rp 1.000.000 + Sertifikat)
- Juara 2: UR Girls – Universitas Raharja (Rp 750.000 + Sertifikat)
Korean-style Fashion Show:
- Pemenang: Syafiqa Zalfa Davina (Rp 350.000 + Sertifikat)
