Esaunggul.ac.id, The West Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) held a “Goes to Campus” event that successfully attracted the attention of students at Universitas Esa Unggul. The event was held on Monday, October 28, with the agenda of watching together (nobar) the movie “Tepatilah Janji.”

The movie “Tepatilah Janji”, which raises the theme of the importance of political awareness and responsibility in general elections, was chosen as a medium to increase voter participation among the younger generation. The activity began with remarks from representatives of the West Jakarta KPU, who emphasized the importance of the role of students as agents of change in society.

After the movie screening, an interactive discussion was held involving students and resource persons from the KPU, discussing the messages contained in the movie and its impact on voter participation. This activity is expected to increase students’ awareness and interest in politics, and encourage them to actively participate in the upcoming general election. With the success of this event, the West Jakarta KPU plans to continue the “Goes to Campus” program at various other universities.

Head of the General Bureau of Esa Unggul University, Helmi Geisfarad, S.Sos, MI Kom, highly appreciated the initiative of the West Jakarta KPU in holding this ‘Goes to Campus’ event. “The movie screening activity ‘Tepatilah Janji’ not only attracts the attention of students, but also provides important insights into their role in the democratic process. This is a positive step to encourage the younger generation to actively participate in elections and realize how important their votes are in determining the future of the nation,” he said.
