Esaunggul.ac.id, Universitas Esa Unggul held a Socialization Event on the Reporting of Tracer Study Results in 2024 in Building A, Room 207, Thursday (24/10). This event aims to increase the understanding of the academic community regarding the results of the Tracer Study that has been carried out, as a step to evaluate the effectiveness of education and the relevance of the curriculum to the needs of the labor market.

This activity was opened by the Rector of Universitas Esa Unggul, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma Among Praja, S.T., MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, who in his speech emphasized the importance of Tracer Study as a measuring tool for the quality of graduates and as a basis for developing a better curriculum development strategy. “The results of this Tracer Study are a reflection of the extent to which our graduates can adapt and contribute to the world of work,” he said.

The event also presented three competent speakers in the field of Tracer Study and career development, namely:

  • Devi R. Latif, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom. – Head of Counseling and Tracer Study Bureau of Universitas Esa Unggul
  • Prof. Dr. drg. Sandra Fikawati, MPH – Head of Career Development Center University of Indonesia
  • Dr. rer. pol. Ied Veda Rimrosa Sitepu, S.S., M.A. – Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation of Universitas Kristen Indonesia

The first session was presented by Devi Rulianti Latif, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom., who explained the 2024 Tracer Study report at Universitas Esa Unggul. She explained about data collection methods, analysis results, and evaluation of the effectiveness of education in supporting graduates’ careers.

Followed by Dr. rer. pol. Ied Veda Rimrosa Sitepu, S.S., M.A., who discussed the utilization of Tracer Study data as a key performance indicator (KPI) of higher education. He highlighted the importance of Tracer Study data in improving institutional reputation and having a positive impact on the progress of graduates in the job market.

In the last session, Prof. Dr. drg. Sandra Fikawati, MPH, explained the mechanism for implementing Tracer Study and graduate user surveys in higher education. She explained the importance of feedback from graduate users to improve the quality of education.

The interactive discussion that took place after the presentation session attracted the enthusiasm of the participants to share experiences related to the implementation of Tracer Study in their respective study programs and faculties. This activity is expected to be the first step in preparing a more relevant curriculum development strategy and improving the quality of Universitas Esa Unggul graduates in the future.
