Esaunggul.ac.id, Universitas Esa Unggul Powered by Arizona State University continues to show its commitment in expanding its network and strengthening the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. On Thursday, April 24, 2025, the university held an audience meeting to explore cooperation with the Padang City Government.

In the warm and productive meeting, Universitas Esa Unggul was represented by Dr. Ayu Larasati, S.Sos., M.I.Kom., as the Head of Cooperation Bureau. Meanwhile, from the Padang City Government, Mr. Otto Sarbi Damanik as the Head of Cooperation Bureau was present.

The main agenda in this audience was to explore the potential for cooperation in various programs related to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely:

  • student and lecturer exchange programs
  • Collaborative research between lecturers and students
  • Community service activities that are innovative and have a real impact

The main purpose of this audience is to build synergy between the world of higher education and local governments in creating real solutions to various social, economic and environmental challenges faced by society. Esa Unggul University hopes that this collaboration can be a forum to improve the quality of human resources through education, broaden global insights for students and lecturers, and increase the participation of universities in regional development through research and service.

Dr. Ayu Larasati said that Esa Unggul University is very open to establishing strategic synergies with the Regional Government, especially Padang City, to strengthen the contribution of higher education in regional development.

“This collaboration is expected to provide benefits not only for the academic community, but also for the wider community through programs that we design inclusively and applicatively,” she said.

The Rector of Esa Unggul University Powered by Arizona State University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P., ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, in a separate statement expressed his support for strengthening the implementation of Tri Dharma through cross-institutional collaboration.

“As a globally oriented university that partners with Arizona State University, we continue to encourage collaborations that are able to open international opportunities while making a real contribution at the local level,” he said.

This meeting is a strategic first step to formulate concrete cooperation that will be outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation Agreement in the future. Both parties agreed to continue intensive communication in order to realize an impactful and sustainable partnership.
