Esaunggul.ac.id, The Seminar MKKS SMA was held by the Working Conference of High School Principals in Tangerang Regency in an effort to improve the quality of education in Tangerang Regency. The seminar entitled “The Role of Principals in Implementing the Merdeka Curriculum and Improving Entrepreneurial Competencies for Principals” was held at the Tangerang Campus of Esa Unggul University on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
This seminar was held in collaboration with Universitas Esa Unggul Tangerang Campus and was attended by hundreds of school principals, teachers, and education practitioners.
The MKKS SMA Seminar, which took place in the hall of Universitas Esa Unggul Tangerang Campus, aimed to equip school principals with the knowledge and skills needed to implement the Merdeka Curriculum.
This curriculum is expected to create a more flexible and innovative learning environment, in accordance with the needs of students in the modern era.
In his remarks, the Chairman of MKKS SMA Se-Kabupaten Tangerang, Dr. H. M. Sudarmaji, conveyed the importance of the principal’s role in realizing quality education. “Principals are not only leaders in educational institutions, but also drivers of change who can inspire teachers and students to innovate in learning,” he said.
Dr. Drs. Dihin Septyanto, ME, Director of the Tangerang Campus of Universitas Esa Unggul, discussed strategies for implementing the Merdeka Curriculum and strengthening entrepreneurial competencies. “It is important for school principals to understand this curriculum and facilitate teachers in its implementation, so that schools can create a generation that is not only academically smart but also has an entrepreneurial spirit,” he explained.

In addition to the material presentation session, the event was also filled with group discussions and practical simulations aimed at providing direct experience to school principals in facing the challenges of curriculum implementation.
By organizing this seminar, it is hoped that school principals in Tangerang Regency can be better prepared to implement Merdeka Curriculum and develop entrepreneurial competencies, in order to create independent and innovative students in the future.
The event was closed by handing over certificates to seminar participants and hopes to continue to establish cooperation between MKKS and Esa Unggul University in improving the quality of education in this region.
