Esaunggul.ac.id, Esa Unggul University and Pamulang University held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing event as the first step to strengthen cooperation in the academic field (30/01/2024). This event also marked the beginning of collaboration between the Faculties of Engineering of the two universities in applying artificial intelligence (AI) in infrastructure development.
In this online event, the Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P., ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng. and the Rector of Pamulang University, Dr. E. Nurzaman A.M, Msi, M.M., officially signed the MoU agreement symbolically through a Zoom Meeting. With this signing, both institutions are committed to supporting and collaborating with each other in the fields of research, education, and technology infrastructure development.
The webinar, held as part of the collaboration event, discussed the application of AI in infrastructure development. The webinar was attended by a number of engineering students, lecturers, and practitioners from both universities. Participants gained in-depth insights into how artificial intelligence can improve efficiency and sustainability in development projects.

On his occasion, the Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P., ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, stated, “We believe that this collaboration will bring innovation and positive contribution in technology development, especially in the implementation of artificial intelligence in infrastructure projects.”
Meanwhile, the Rector of Pamulang University, Dr. E. Nurzaman A.M, Msi., M.M., added, “We are very enthusiastic about this opportunity and are confident that this collaboration will create a strong synergy between the two universities, bringing real benefits to the development of science and technology.”
This webinar is also a forum for knowledge sharing between the two institutions, providing a space for the exchange of ideas and experiences in the field of AI technology. Thus, Esa Unggul University and Pamulang University hope to create new breakthroughs and significant contributions in facing future challenges in engineering and infrastructure development.
The MOU signing ceremony was followed by a webinar that presented a number of leading experts and practitioners in the fields of AI and infrastructure development as speakers. They shared their knowledge, experience, and views on the integration of artificial intelligence in the planning, execution, and maintenance of infrastructure projects.

One of the keynote speakers was Dr.-Eng. Ir. Mairizal, ST, MT, IPU, CSO, ACPE, ASEAN Eng. as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, Pamulang University. He discussed the latest developments in AI technology and how it can be optimized in tackling various challenges that arise in infrastructure development.
This webinar ended with an agreement to continue cooperation between universities in similar activities in the future, as a form of joint commitment to continue to support technological development and innovation in the field of engineering, especially in the context of applying Artificial Intelligence in infrastructure development.
