Implementation Of Database Security Model Using “Advanced Encryption Standard” 256 Bit Algorithm

Description:

Along with the rapid development of information technology, the ability to access and provide data information quickly and accurately in the field of education (case study of secondary education institutions at secondary education level). data on students, educators (teachers) and report cards often occur in unsafe security. After a little bit of research, there are several data that is very important and there should not be anyone else who knows other than the educators (teachers) or other classes or certain parties, the data is the data of students, educators (teachers) and report cards. Data storage is still under minimum safety, that is by storing data in a file folder without security. The cryptographic method used by the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm with a 256-bit key. This AES-256 uses the key number 8 (Nk), block size 4 (Nb) and 14 rounds (Nr) which has a step process step, namely AddRoundKey, SubBytes, ShiftRows, MixColumns. after that repeat the steps 13 (thirteen) times and in the fourteenth step the MixColumns stage is not performed. With this application, student data, educators (teachers), and grades can be encrypted by “users” into data that cannot be used by unauthorized parties, and can maintain the confidentiality of the data.
