The Faculty of Health Sciences of Esa Unggul University (UEU) organized the Tomy Autoclave 2025 Seminar in collaboration with GeneCraft in Room 811 of Esa Unggul University on Thursday (22/5). The event, which took place from 08.00 to 15.30 WIB, presented experts in sterilization and autoclave technology to provide in-depth insights into the latest innovations in the world of medical sterilization.
The seminar was opened by MC Haeza H. Pasha by singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya and reciting prayers. After showing the company profile of Esa Unggul University which has synergized with Arizona State University, the event continued with remarks from Dr. Henny Saraswati, M.Biomed as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at UEU.

“Sterilization technology is a vital part in the world of health, and through this seminar we hope to provide a comprehensive understanding of the latest developments in autoclave technology,” said Dr. Henny in her speech.

The next speech was delivered by Yusuf from GeneCraft after the company profile video. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and industry in developing more sophisticated and effective sterilization technology. Material Presentation Session
The seminar presented three expert speakers with various materials.

The first session, Ns. Abdurrasyid, S.Kep, M.Kep, Sp.Kep.Kom gave a presentation on “Universal Precautions in the Prevention of Sick Building Syndrome in the Laboratory”. In his presentation, he outlined the importance of universal safety protocols to prevent sick building syndrome that can occur in a laboratory environment, as well as how proper sterilization can prevent contamination and maintain air quality in the workspace.

Second Session, After coffee break, Yosuke Terada took over with “Heat Transfer Time Lag”. This presentation discussed the technical aspects of heat transfer in the autoclave sterilization process, including factors that affect sterilization effectiveness and how to optimize time and temperature for maximum sterilization results.Third Session, Post ishoma, Anna Yuliana presented the material “Beyond Clean: New Innovations and Standards in Autoclave Sterilization”. In this session, participants were informed about the latest developments in autoclave technology, the latest international standards, and innovations that can improve the efficiency and safety of the sterilization process.

The highlight of the event was the “Autoclave Routine Cleaning” demonstration session led by Yosuke Terada (13.45 – 14.45). In this hands-on session, participants were able to see firsthand the correct autoclave routine cleaning techniques, required maintenance, and troubleshooting common problems that often occur.
Each session was complemented by an interactive Q&A session, allowing participants to ask the experts directly about the practical application of autoclave technology in their respective work environments.

The event closed with a prize quiz session hosted by MC Haeza H. Pasha, giving participants the opportunity to test their understanding of the material presented. Active participants received attractive door prizes from the organizers.
Before closing, all participants, speakers, and organizers took a group photo as documentation of the event. The event was officially closed at 15.30 WIB with high appreciation from the participants for the valuable knowledge sharing.
