Esaunggul.ac.id, In order to improve the quality of scientific publications in the academic environment, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Doctor of Management Science Study Program (S3), Esa Unggul University held a workshop entitled “Writing for Top Tier Journal” on Saturday, May 24, 2025. This activity was held at Kebon Jeruk Campus, Building A, Room 207, starting at 07.00 to 12.00 WIB.

This workshop presented Mr. Halimin Herjanto, Ph.D, Associate Professor of Marketing from Marymount University, USA, as the main speaker. With long experience in the field of international scientific publications, Dr. Halimin provides strategic and practical insights into writing high-quality scientific articles for globally reputable journals.

This activity has four main objectives, namely:

  • Deepening Knowledge and Insight regarding international scientific writing standards;
  • Connecting Theory with Practice in writing academic articles;
  • Increase Motivation and Inspiration of participants through the experience of resource persons;
  • Building Networks and Connections among researchers, academics, and doctoral students.

One of the featured sessions in this workshop is one-on-one consultation between participants and resource persons. Participants who brought their articles and electronic devices were given the opportunity to receive direct feedback from the experts.

In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business of UEU, Dr. Tantri Yanuar Rahmat Syah, SE, MSM, said that this activity was a strategic step to strengthen the competence of doctoral students.

“The ability to publish research in highly reputable international journals is one indicator of academic quality that cannot be ignored,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P., ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, also expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this workshop.

“We continue to encourage international collaboration as an effort to build a competitive and superior academic atmosphere. Through activities like this, the Esa Unggul academic community is expected not only to become consumers of knowledge, but also producers of world-recognized knowledge.”
