The Analysis Of Physical And Psychological Violence Behavior Risk Group (Elderly Age) The Inmate Of Penitentiary, Penitentiary Class I, Tangerang

Aging in the elderly age causes the elderly people included into the risk group. The risky group is more easily exposed to the health problems, which is physical and psychological violence. The risky group who is in a place of risk, causing the individual to be a susceptible group, one of the risky places is correctional facility. The purpose of this research is to determine the physical and psychological violence behavior of elderly prisoners in the correctional facility. The study used total sample 36 inmate respondents in the correctional facility. The research instrument refers to the Hwalek-sengtock questionnaire using a Likert scale. The result showed that elderly prisoners experienced physical violence (58.33%) and psychological violence (63.89%). The result of the study recommend the nurses, the psychologists and the prison officer to collaborate in preventing physical and psychological violence, as well as improving religious and spiritual facilities as coping conducted by the elderly prisoners.
