Esaunggul.ac.id, Universitas Esa Unggul continues to expand its international cooperation network by exploring potential collaborations with Omotenashi Servis Indonesia. The meeting titled Collaboration Meeting took place on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Building A, Room 211, Esa Unggul University, Jakarta.

In this activity, Esa Unggul University was represented by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Ari Pambudi, S.Kom., M.Kom., and the Vice Rector for Cooperation and Development, Dr. Rilla Gantino, SE, Ak, MM, who were also accompanied by the Esa Unggul Delegation Team. They directly welcomed the delegation from Omotenashi Servis Indonesia.

The Omotenashi Servis Indonesia delegation was led by Mr. Tateno Masatoshi and Ms. Katori Mayumi, both from Tokyo Overseas Business Co-Operative, Japan. In this meeting, both parties discussed opportunities for strategic cooperation in the fields of work skills development, cultural exchange, and international internship programs for Esa Unggul University students in Japanese companies.

Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan dan Alumni, Ari Pambudi, S.Kom., M.Kom.,Ari Pambudi, S.Kom., M.Kom., stated that this cooperation is in line with Esa Unggul University’s commitment to prepare students for the global job market. “We welcome this initiative because it can open up great opportunities for students to gain international experience, especially in Japanese work culture which is famous for its Omotenashi principle or excellent service,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mr. Tateno Masatoshi expressed his interest in the quality of Esa Unggul students who are considered to have potential and high learning spirit. He hopes that this cooperation can be realized soon in the form of concrete programs that are mutually beneficial.

The Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma A.P., ST, MBA, IPU, ASEAN Eng, welcomed this collaborative step. In his statement, he said:

“This collaboration is part of Esa Unggul University’s commitment to prepare graduates who are not only academically superior, but also ready to compete at the global level. The Japanese values of hard work, discipline, and service such as Omotenashi are very much in line with our mission in shaping the character of professional and ethical students. We hope that this cooperation can soon be realized in concrete form, especially internship programs and cross-cultural training.”

This activity ended with a discussion session and an exchange of souvenirs between the two institutions. Esa Unggul University hopes that this meeting will be the first step of a sustainable collaborative relationship, to support the development of globally competitive human resources.
