Academic quality and service at Esa Unggul University are continuously improved. One of the goals to be achieved is the creation of a center of excellence based on ICT (Information and Communication Technology) which is conducive to the implementation of quality learning processes and the development of science.

It is expected that with the help of information and communication technology in the implementation of academic activities, the learning achievement of students will increase, and the lecturers will be more productive in producing scientific works. As for the form of its realization, since 2005 the UEU has implemented a learning system based on e-learning (learning management system) which is supported by networks connected to optical fiber and multimedia classrooms. The learning system facilitated with ICT technology, were given the name “Esa Unggul Hybrid Learning”.

With the addition of the learning model, which is a supplement of classroom learning, students will gain broad access to various information and learning resources, as well as accelerate student independence in mastering science and technology.

In addition, the EUU library has gradually developed into a cyber library. At present most of the lecturers and students’ scientific works have been electronically documented and accessible, and our libraries have been connected to thousands of electronic journals such as EBSCO, Science Direct and Pro Quest journals. Currently the EUU has built an optical fiber-based communication network infrastructure as well as broadband bandwidth with a large bandwidth. The EUU is leading to the fulfillment of internet connections such as the standard internet ratio in developed countries.

EUU is a multi-unit institution, consisting of 10 faculties and 30 study programs and 19 supporting administrative units. This condition affects the design of an information system architecture that demands integration of information resources between units within EUU environment. Therefore, with the help of competing grants that were successfully won in 2009, EUU began to improve the information and service system on campus, with the main agenda of integrating all existing information systems.

The developed integrated information system scheme includes two aspects, horizontal and vertical integration. Horizontal integration means there is connection between units so that a unit can exchange information with other units quickly and accurately. While vertical integration means that all information in this institution can be summarized into various executive information that can be used as a basis for good decision making (decision support system). The information, in the not too distant future will be accessible through various media.

From the institutional structuring program, EUU has succeeded in formulating and implementing new organizational structures and governance, which are more adaptive, both to internal and external needs, as well as following the principles of good governance. More specifically, EUU has added several new service units and facilities, such as the Counseling unit, Career Center and Entrepreneurship Development Institute.
