This study aims to determine the effect of individual characteristics of nurses, knowledge and work motivation of nurse on the implementation of patient safety program. The study was conducted on 30 respondents at inpatient unit of Hospital X in Tangerang Selatan. The research was done by quantitative method with correlational design. Data was collected by using questionnaires distributed to respondent to assess the respondent’s information of age and years of service, their knowledge, work motivation and their implementation on patient safety program. Data analysis was performed using multivariat regression. Result of the research indicate that age variable and work motivation of nurse have positive and significant effect to the succesfull of patient safety program. Meanwhile, the nurse’s working period and nurse’s knowledge about patient safety did not significantly influence the implementation of patient safety program. Therefore, hospital management policies related to the improvement of nurse’s work motivation need to be done to improve the success of the patient safety program.
