Taichi Exercise And Balance Exercise Effectivity In Eldery Postural Balance

Purpose: This study aims to determine the difference of effectiveness of Taichi Calisthenics and balance exercise effectivity in eldery postural balance. Method: This study is a research experiment with pre test-post test design to know the difference of a given exercise of the research object. Samples are grouped into the treatment group I consists of 10 people with Tai Chi Exercise as well as the treatment group II consisted of 10 people with Balance Exercise. Result: normality test result normality of the data found, and homogenity test resulting homogenity of the variance found. In the treatment group 1 before exercise 33,20±4,917 and value after exercise 40,60±7,749. In the treatment group 2 before exercise 31,70±4,832 and after exercise 41,90±4,90. The hypothesis test 3 the show in p value = 0,154(p>0,05) Conclusion:There is no difference in the effectiveness of Tai Chi Exercise and Balance Exercise on postural balance in the elderly.
