Study Of Psychological Well-Being Of Childless Wife (Case Study Of Women Who Have Married More Than 10 Years In Indonesia)

In Indonesia, every married woman certainly really wants to have a child to fullfil her marriage life. But in fact, the child who really wanted not being present for many years of waiting. In the face of a childless condition is usually the wife who is often blamed and marginalized. Wife felt guilty, humiliated and depressed because she is not able to give children that ultimately can affect their psychological well-being. This research objective is to obtain an overview of psychological wellbeing wife who have been married more than 10 years and have not been blessed with children. This studyused a qualitative method with three subjects selected by purposive sampling method. Data were collected with a structured and in-depth interviews as well as non-participatory observation. Interview data were processed and analyzed based on important themes of the three subjects. The results showed that all three subjects feel themselves as women are not perfect because it is not able togive a child. However, all three still have the hope of having child with a fixed routine therapy. Onthe other hand, the support of their partner makes the subject feel more comfortable build social relationships and fill daily with activities benefit other people. While the subjects feel more comfortable within the social environment.
