Meeting System With Vector Space Model Method For Public Information Management (Case Study : Tangerang City Government Information And Documentation Service Management (PLID))
Description:
Public information is information relating to the administration of a state / government administered by a public institution. The Documentation Service Information Manager (PLID) of Tangerang City Governmentis the institution responsible for providing public information related to the implementation of governance in Tangerang City. Problems that occur in management such as lack of space for public information cause the process to obtain public information becomes ineffective and efficient, and the process of distribution of public information updates that should be simplified. One science that has been developed and in accordance with the solution of the problem is the information retrieval. The method used to search the documents in this system is the vector space model, because of the ranking in the return of search documents that have been stored and not quite difficult to understand. System development method used is eXtreme Programming (XP) because it emphasizes the flexibility in the process of system development. For modeling system design is made using Unified Modeling Language (UML) because it emphasizes to user specification and requirement. The web is built using PHP programming languages as well as MySQL databases. The results of this final project implementation, can help PLID to store and search public information quickly and relevant and help distribute public information update notification.
