SENWODIPA 2025

Esaunggul.ac.id, The Health Information Management (MIK) Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences Universitas Esa Unggul, is once again holding its annual National Seminar, Workshop, and Panel Discussion (SENWODIPA 2025) virtually on October 24–25, 2025. This year marks the 9th edition since it was first held in 2016.

SENWODIPA 2025 consists of two main series, namely Call for Papers (CFP) and a National Seminar with the main theme “Optimizing AI in Healthcare: Regulation, Collaboration, and Implementation.”

Call for Paper SENWODIPA 2025

The Call for Papers event was held on Friday, October 24, 2025, through an online meeting, attended by 49 participants from various universities in Indonesia, including students and lecturers. The articles submitted covered various topics, including:

  1. Clinical Coding / Classifications and Terminologies

  2. Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety

  3. Health Data Analytics

  4. Big Data Analysis in Healthcare

  5. Health Statistics and Epidemiology

  6. Healthcare Policy / Finance / Economy

  7. Telemedicine

  8. Electronic Health Record

All articles will be published in proceedings with an ISBN, and some of the best works will be published in accredited journals, such as the Indonesian Health Information Management Journal (INOHIM) (SINTA 4), INFOKES Universitas Duta Bangsa Surakarta, and Jurnal Manajemen Kesehatan (JMK) Yayasan RS Dr. Soetomo (SINTA 3).

In this CFP event, Gede Wirabuana Putra (Kartini Bali Health Polytechnic) was selected as the Best Oral Presenter in the General category, and Nadila Adilya (Universitas Esa Unggul) in the Student category.

Meanwhile, the Best Paper award in the General category was won by Nauri Anggita Temesvari (Universitas Esa Unggul), and the Best Paper award in the Student category was won by Sabrina Auliya Rahmadhani (Universitas Esa Unggul). The winners were announced at the national seminar the following day.

SENWODIPA National Seminar 2025

The SENWODIPA event was held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, and was attended by around 265 participants from various backgrounds: students, lecturers, researchers, health workers, and information technology developers in the health sector. In addition to participants from Universitas Esa Unggul, there were also participants from various regions such as Palembang, Padang, Lampung, Bali, and Bandung.

The event opened with remarks from the Chair of the SENWODIPA 2025 Committee, Tria Saras Pertiwi, SKM., MPH, followed by the Head of the MIK Program at Universitas Esa Unggul, Dr. Hosizah, SKM., M.KM, and the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Universitas Esa Unggul, Dr. Aprilita Rina Yanti, M.Biomed., Apt.

Session 1: AI Policy in Healthcare

The first material was presented by Setiaji, ST., M.Si., TOGAF 9, CAPM from the Digital Transformation Office (DTO) of the Indonesian Ministry of Health with the topic “AI Policy in the Health Sector.” He explained that the government is promoting digital transformation in the health sector through the SATUSEHAT ecosystem, a national interoperability system that integrates patient data, facilities, health workers, and industry based on international standards (FHIR HL7, ICD-10, SNOMED-CT, LOINC, DICOM).

“AI plays an important role in improving service efficiency, diagnostic accuracy, and data-driven decision making,” he said.

Session 2: Ethics and Practical Implementation of AI

The second presentation was delivered by Andi Saptono, Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh on the topic of “Ethical & Practical Implications of AI in Health.” He highlighted the enormous potential of Generative AI in the world of health, such as the creation of synthetic data, acceleration of drug research, and improvement of medical diagnosis.

However, he also emphasized the importance of paying attention to ethical issues such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and the technology access gap. Andi asserted that cross-sector collaboration, improving digital human resource competencies, and ethical governance are key to the successful implementation of AI in the health sector.

Session 3: The Strategic Role of PMIK in AI Implementation

The final session was led by Dr. Hosizah, SKM., M.KM, who discussed “The Strategic Role of PMIK in AI Implementation.” According to her, AI can only be effective depending on the quality of the data being managed. Therefore, Medical Records and Health Information (PMIK) personnel have a central role in ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

“PMIK now not only acts as a patient data manager, but also as a health information architect and algorithm quality guardian. AI should be seen as a partner that strengthens PMIK's strategic role in creating smarter and safer healthcare services,” She said.

Building Collaboration Toward Digital Health Transformation at SENWODIPA 2025

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, the announcement of the Best Oral Presenter, Best Paper CFP, and the winners of the interactive quiz. Participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the discussion session.

Through SENWODIPA 2025, the Health Information Management Program of Universitas Esa Unggul hopes to enhance participants’ understanding of the use of AI in the health sector, broaden the insights of academics and practitioners regarding the opportunities and challenges in implementing this technology, and encourage cross-professional collaboration toward the digital transformation of health information systems in Indonesia.
