Indonusa Esa Unggul University (Number: 107/D/0/1993) was established in 1993 under the auspices of the Kemala Bangsa Education Foundation. Then in 2014, it changed its name to Universitas Esa Unggul (Number: 57/E/O/2014). Universitas Esa Unggul(UEU) is a leading private university and one of the best private universities in Indonesia with a VISION to become a world-class university based on intellectuality, creativity, and entrepreneurship that excels in the quality of management (process) and results (output) of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education). Its MISSION is: To provide quality and relevant education, to create a conducive academic atmosphere, and to develop leaders with strong character and high competitiveness.

Over the past decade, UEU has experienced rapid growth to become one of the leading private universities in Jakarta. History records that UEU was the first university to pioneer the establishment of the Medical Records Academy (ARM) and the first Applied Physiotherapy Bachelor's Program in Indonesia. Programs to improve the academic quality of students and lecturers, services, facilities and infrastructure, research and community service, and graduate quality are the top priorities for achieving a World Class University. However, strategic environmental challenges also require UEU to constantly adapt and innovate its values, work culture, and work ethic to become a world-class university. This means that UEU is determined to refer to world-class university standards and implement best practices carried out by world-class universities.
UEU strives to produce outputs, both in terms of research and community service, whose contributions are recognized by the international community. Most importantly, UEU works hard to produce graduates who are competent and globally competitive. Entrepreneurship and creativity, which have been explicitly made the spirit and main theme, will color the entire journey of UEU's progress in the years to come.
UEU is known not only for producing intelligent and critical thinkers, but also for producing innovative graduates who are capable of creating jobs. UEU develops and establishes partnerships with various parties, both national and international institutions, universities, and study programs to improve the quality of learning, curriculum, and graduates of UEU, so that they have the best skills and competencies in their respective fields.
Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU) consists of three campuses located in strategic areas, namely Jakarta, Tangerang, and Bekasi. The Jakarta campus is located in Kebon Jeruk, while the Tangerang campus is in the Citra Raya area, and the Bekasi campus is in the Harapan Indah area. With a 4.5-hectare green campus area in the heart of Jakarta, UEU continues to grow as an Urban Campus that is the pride of the community.

Starting from the foundation laid by its founder, the solid foundations for the growth and development of a visionary and modern university, namely the three pillars of excellence of Universitas Esa Unggul (Entrepreneurship, Information Technology, and Communication Skills), this institution has always strived to be a leader and barometer of modernity in the field of education and its accompanying facilities. It is commendable that these three pillars have proven to be highly relevant, even increasingly timely and proactive in addressing the challenges and advancements of the modern era.
The pillar of entrepreneurship is intended to create independence in work and the ability of graduates to create jobs. As is well known, in many countries entrepreneurship has become a paradigm for the development of economic independence and human resources of a nation. Even among universities around the world, there has been a shift in discourse and orientation from research universities to entrepreneur universities.
Universitas Esa Unggul is seriously developing this pillar of entrepreneurship by providing business motivation training for new students, entrepreneurship courses, business creativity and business proposal competitions, entrepreneurship internships, seminars, discussions, industry visits, business incubators, provision of access to business capital for graduates, business consulting, and the creation of an atmosphere that encourages the spirit of entrepreneurship.
The Information Technology pillar is realized through the implementation of an e-learning model equipped with e-library facilities, multimedia equipment in every classroom, and video conferencing, supported by an integrated information system to manage student activities, academics, finances, new student admissions, and lectures.
The Communication pillar is realized through improving students' English language skills, with TOEFL/TOEIC scores as benchmarks, establishing the Toastmaster English Club, and student participation in various English Speech Contests. Thus, Universitas Esa Unggul is truly ready to serve as a bridge for students to enter the industrial world.
